The Place of the Slopes is located in the municipality of Canillas de Albaida.
In this area we find two old Roman roads winding, the first, descending from the lower part of town, while the other ascends to the place known as El Cerrillo. The two roads are joined by the Roman Bridge on the River Turvilla.
It is a dirt road, classified as cattle track. This was the old road that was to reach the town of Velez-Malaga
The Roman Bridge is located south of town in the Place of the Slopes of Canillas de Albaida. On the waters of Turvilla. At the confluence of the two Roman roads.
The bridge dates back to Roman times, although it has undergone several transformations. The vault originally brick, ashlar is now. The facing is made of blocks of blight. Water under the arch is highlighted by a reconstruction that has been given a little twist to the bridge, making it more vertical flow and providing a greater resistance.
